The Gospel is a beautiful and true story of freedom and life.

God created man in His own image. Man, however, fell into temptation and disobeyed God. Now, all men are born with a disobedient, or sinful, nature.

It doesn’t take much looking around to see this truth.

Because God is perfect, sin breaks our fellowship with Him. And because He is perfect, we cannot overcome our sin and restore our relationship with Him. All the good deeds in the world are not enough to rid us of our sinful nature.

The Good News is that God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to earth. Jesus lived a perfect life, a life without sin. Jesus then gave His life by allowing sinful men to nail Him to a wooden cross. Three days later, though, Jesus walked out of His grave, resurrected from the dead.

The Bible teaches us that Jesus died on that cross as a substitute for our sin, taking upon Himself the death that we deserved.

Now, all of us who believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He did indeed die for our sins, can confess to Jesus that we are sinners and put our faith in Him, and Jesus will not only forgive us from our sins and free us from our sinful nature, but He will restore our relationship with God and give us eternal life in Heaven with Him.
