Body Life exists to know Christ, glorify the Father,
live by the Spirit, love one another, and communicate
the truth of the Gospel to Fort Worth and the world
through our testimonies and the way we live.
The Bible
• We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. Both the Old and New Testaments are fully inspired by God, inerrant and profitable for us to know God, receive eternal life and live life to its fullest, for God’s Word is truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
God
• We believe that there exists only one, true, living God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Luke 3:21-22; John 1:1-14; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
Salvation
• We believe that salvation is forgiveness and freedom from sin and is a free gift from Jesus Christ—who died on the cross for our sins and then rose from the dead —by His grace, to all who, by faith, repent of their sins and believe in Jesus as the Son of God. When we are saved, our sins are forgiven, we receive the Holy Spirit, and we are sealed for eternal life in Heaven with God (Ephesians 1:13-14, 2:8-9; John 3:16; Acts 4:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17).
Church
• We believe that the Church is the Body and Bride of Christ. She is a community of Christ Followers who live life together for the glory of God, the edification of one another, and the salvation of the lost (Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 3:20-21; 4:4-6; 5:25-32; Colossians 1:18).
